About us

Our names are SD and L. We are best friends who happen to live on different sides of the world. One of us is Russian and the other is American. We'll write about what's ever on our minds, which can be just about anything because we each have different interests that we would like to share with the world. However, our main goal is to move to NYC together and videoblog our adventures there. One cool thing we will provide everyone with on this blog is our “Awesome List.” This list is composed of 101 things that we plan on doing together in NYC and America in general. See you all out on the adventure! Do you want to know about updates on our blog - follow us on twitter! https://twitter.com/khabarovsk_pitt

Making Dreams Come True!

Hello, everyone! Our names are Sean and Lina and we would like to share with all of you a very special project.  However, before we start presenting this project, we think it’s important to at least give you a small summary about who we are. To begin, we are best friends and the really unique thing about our friendship is that we live on opposite sides of the world. Sean is from America and Lina is from Russia. We may be separated for now, but that won’t last long because we have a great plan to bring us together. The plan is to create a videoblog channel on youtube.  Yes, that doesn’t sound too interesting right now, but let us explain. We have a plan to create fun, interesting and memorable adventures for you all. Our adventures will be composed of crazy activities and fun projects. For an example, check out our 101 Things to do in America and NYC posts. Those posts are an outline of what we plan on doing. We want to create a show that will be interesting and entertaining for everyone.  In our hearts we are entertainers and we would like to share our personalities, views on things, interests and whatever else with the world.

The only problem with wanting to create this wonderful project is funding. It cost a lot of money for us to travel and record in multiple places. We don’t really like asking for a handout, but right now we have no other option. So, if anyone would like to help us, please do so. It would be greatly appreciated! Also, a select few of our supporters will be able to complete their own dreams with our help. Your dreams should be like an adventure we would be able to complete. It can’t be overly complicated or impossible like flying to the moon. We’re not millionaires or wizards. However, it shouldn’t be simple. Let it be fun and memorable.  All you have to do is send us your idea and a few lucky people will see their ideas…their dreams…come to life. Good luck! We hope all of you can take part in this because life is all about making dreams come true!

See you all soon,

Metal and Rock Bands Worth Checking Out

Hey, Guys! Sorry I haven’t written anything lately it’s just been so busy and everything. I’m going to try and be a little more consistent with these posts for now on. Anyway, let’s get things started again with another music post. In this post I’m just going to showcase 5 of the bands that were part of my high school years. And hell, I still listen to these bands now. Good music never dies, even if a band changes because the music of their past will always last.

1. Atreyu

This is like my all-time favorite band. There’s just something about their music and lyrics that just connect with me. In my opinion they’re the world’s greatest metalcore band. Amazing music!

2. Avenged Sevenfold

A7X was a band I listened to religiously throughout my high school years. Waking The Fallen is a masterpiece of an album. M. Shadows has some of the best screams around and it’s a real shame he doesn’t utilize them anymore. Oh well, bands change and their new stuff ain’t bad really. It's actually really damn good. It’s just not as good as their older music.

3. Escape The Fate

I think it was the summer of 2005 when I heard this band for the first time. And it was on good old Myspace. I was scanning through bands and came across this song called the “Guillotine.” Once I heard that song I thought to myself – Oh Shit! This band has all the elements to be successful. I must buy their album when it’s released. And I did. This album (Dying Is Your Latest Fashion), to this day, comes on when me and my friends are hanging out. It’s just that damn good.

4. Papa Roach

I was a fan of Papa Roach well before high school. I remember I bought Infest when it first came out. However, it wasn’t until Getting Away With Murder Came out that I really became a big fan of these guys. I believe it was 2004 when this album was released and ever since then I’ve been a huge fan. I try to see them live every time they are in town. Always a good performance from them.

5. Eighteen Visions

This is one the most influential bands in metal. They created the genre called metalcore, which is a combination of hardcore punk and heavy metal. This band pretty much opened the doors for me. It was through them I learned of Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Bleeding Through and all those OC metal bands. It was like a brotherhood back then. All those guys stuck together and if you liked one band you liked them all. However, oddly enough my favorite 18 Visions album was their last one…the soft album. The rock album. It’s like they finally found their perfect sound. It’s too bad they’re not around anymore.

Well, I hope you all liked hearing about the bands I liked and still like. Listen to a few of these songs and I bet you’ll like something too.

Until next time,
