About us

Our names are SD and L. We are best friends who happen to live on different sides of the world. One of us is Russian and the other is American. We'll write about what's ever on our minds, which can be just about anything because we each have different interests that we would like to share with the world. However, our main goal is to move to NYC together and videoblog our adventures there. One cool thing we will provide everyone with on this blog is our “Awesome List.” This list is composed of 101 things that we plan on doing together in NYC and America in general. See you all out on the adventure! Do you want to know about updates on our blog - follow us on twitter! https://twitter.com/khabarovsk_pitt

101 things to do in NYC (America): Part 7 - Hockey at the World's Most Famous Arena

Well, we’ve finally made it to the seventh point on our awesome list, which is more often and officially called our “101 things to in NYC (America)” list. It’s kind of hard to believe that we’re already talking about point number seven on our list and it’s even harder to believe that our blog has been operating for a month. The month went fast, but we’re only getting started. This blog is a journey and you won’t be disappointed if you stick around and follow us along on this wild ride.

Point number seven on our list deals with something that really interests me and of course I’m talking about hockey. Hockey is something special to me and my city. Pittsburgh is a hockey town. We take pride in our hockey team and we should. The Pittsburgh Penguins are the best hockey team in the world. Yes, in the world. There is no team that can match the talent on this team. We have  the best player in the world Sidney Crosby and  the Second best player Evgeni Malkin and let me tell you Malkin is a very close second. Anyway, before I go off in a long hockey discussion that has nothing to with this post or more importantly this list, I should move on to what this post is really about.

This post is about attending a hockey game at the world’s most famous arena – Madison Square Garden. It’s not going to be just any game, obviously. It’s going to be a Penguins and Rangers game. I never got to attend an away game and it’s something I always wanted to. When you go to an away game it’s a totally different atmosphere. You’re in the other team’s territory. It’s going to be an interesting experience, but we’ll make it even more exciting. However, what can we do to make more exciting? So if you got any ideas feel free to let us know. I’m thinking about maybe dressing up in costumes of some kind or chanting random things during the game. We have to do something fun and interesting during the game to make it totally memorable. But whatever happens we’ll have a good time, as we like to have fun and we live for excitement.

Until the next post,
